This Privacy Policy details the things you need to know about privacy, including how we will use your personal information when you are working with Culture Matters (ABN 55 190 441 488).
We understand that privacy is important for our clients and we will take all necessary steps to ensure your information is treated appropriately and in line with privacy law.
Collection of personal information
We will collect your personal information, and the information of your employees, contractors and agents, as required to provide you with our services.
In most cases, we will collect the following types of information:
• Name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number, signature
• Position title, employment history or employee records
• Bank account and financial details
• IP addresses
• Location information
There may be situations that require us to collect other forms of personal information, including instances where we may collect sensitive personal information, including:
• Health information, including medical certificates and reports
• Information relating to racial or ethnic origin, union membership, religious beliefs, gender identity, sexual
orientation or criminal record information
• Biometric information
We will collect personal information when you provide it to us directly or potentially from third parties.
We may also collect your personal information when you visit our website or social media accounts, which may include referring URL, pages accessed and documents downloaded. Our website uses ‘cookies’, which may also store and collect information. You can elect to disable cookies through your internet settings, however it may affect user experience when accessing our website.
Use, disclosure and storage of personal information
Generally, we will only use personal information in the following situations:
• for the primary purpose it was collected;
• where the use would be reasonably expected;
• where consent has been obtained; or
• as required by law.
For example, personal information disclosed by an employee in your organisation as part of a workplace investigation may be used for the purposes of the investigation and any subsequent report.
We may also use personal information to communicate with you, for example to provide you with legal updates or to seek feedback on our services. This may be via email, phone or other means. You can opt out of these communications at any time by emailing jessica@culturematters.au.

How can I access or correct my personal information?
It is important that your personal information, including contact information for your business, is kept up to date.
We encourage you to update us on any relevant changes to your business so we can continue to provide you with the best possible services.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. You can submit a request in writing to jessica@culturematters.au We are committed to providing you with access to your personal information where it is reasonable for us to do so, however there will be some situations where we are unable to provide you with access, for example where there are confidentiality concerns or legal professional privilege applies.
Similarly, if you wish to correct the personal information we have on file, you can submit a request in writing to to jessica@culturematters.au.
What if I want to make a privacy complaint?
If you are concerned that we have not acted in accordance with this policy or our obligations under privacy law, you can set out your privacy complaint in writing and submit it to jessica@culturematters.au.
While it is certainly our aim to resolve any privacy concerns with you directly, you can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
